Payday Protein Shake

Alex Carter
This high-protein treat mimics the salty-sweet perfection of a Payday candy bar using creamy peanut butter, salted peanuts, and a touch of caramel flavor. It's a satisfying post-workout recovery drink that tastes like a decadent dessert without the added sugar.

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk or milk of choice
  • 1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder approximately 30g
  • 1 tbsp creamy natural peanut butter no added sugar
  • 1 tbsp PB2 or powdered peanut butter for extra nutty flavor
  • 1/2 tsp caramel extract provides the signature candy bar aroma
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt adjust to taste
  • 1 tbsp roasted salted peanuts crushed for topping
  • 1 cup ice cubes add more for a thicker consistency

Notes

For a thicker, milkshake-like consistency, use a frozen banana instead of half the ice. To make it vegan, swap the whey protein for a vanilla plant-based protein. This shake is best enjoyed immediately but can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 hours; re-shake or blend before drinking if separation occurs.
