  • 4 bags black tea or 4 tsp loose black tea
  • 4 pods green cardamom lightly crushed
  • 1 stick cinnamon or 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk adjust to taste
  • 1 tbsp sugar optional, to taste

Notes

Store any leftover chai in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat gently on the stovetop or in the microwave. For a dairy-free version, substitute coconut condensed milk. This chai can also be served over ice for a refreshing cold drink.
