Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk or milk of choice
  • 1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder approx 30g
  • 2 tbsp natural creamy peanut butter no added sugar
  • 1 tbsp pure maple syrup Grade A dark preferred
  • 0.25 tsp maple extract for intense flavor
  • 1 frozen banana peeled and sliced before freezing
  • 1 pinch sea salt to balance the sweetness
  • 0.5 cup ice cubes optional for extra thickness

Notes

For a lower calorie version, substitute peanut butter with 2 tablespoons of PB powder. To make this ahead, blend everything except the ice and store in an airtight jar in the fridge for up to 24 hours; shake well before drinking.
