Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp licorice root pieces dried and cut
  • 4 cups water filtered
  • 1 tbsp sugar optional, or to taste
  • 1 tsp anise seeds optional, for enhanced flavor

Notes

Store leftover tea in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently before serving. For a stronger brew, increase steeping time to 15 minutes. The tea can also be enjoyed cold over ice for a refreshing summer drink. Note: Licorice tea should be consumed in moderation, especially by those with high blood pressure or pregnant women.
