  • 1 tbsp sugar optional, to taste

Notes

Store any leftover chai in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat gently on the stovetop or in the microwave. For a vegan version, substitute coconut condensed milk and oat milk. This chai pairs beautifully with dates or traditional Emirati sweets. The saffron can be omitted if unavailable, though it adds a distinctive golden hue and floral note.
