Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup dried tart cherries unsweetened preferred
  • 0.33 cup raw walnuts halves or pieces
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt plain or vanilla
  • 1.5 cups unsweetened almond milk or milk of choice
  • 1 frozen banana banana sliced for easier blending
  • 1 tbsp ground flaxseeds for extra fiber
  • 0.5 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch ground cinnamon

Notes

To make this vegan, substitute the Greek yogurt with coconut or almond milk yogurt. If the smoothie is too thick, add more almond milk 1 tablespoon at a time. For the best flavor, lightly toast the walnuts in a dry pan for 2 minutes before blending until they are aromatic. Store leftovers in an airtight jar for up to 24 hours, though separation may occur.
