  • 1 cup baby spinach fresh
  • 1 cup cucumber sliced
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks frozen for texture
  • 1 green apple granny smith apple cored and diced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger peeled and grated
  • 0.5 lemon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1.5 cups coconut water chilled
  • 1 tsp chia seeds optional for added fiber

Notes

For the best results, harvest cleavers in the spring when they are young and tender. If you do not have a high-speed blender, strain the smoothie through a fine-mesh sieve or nut milk bag to remove any fibrous texture from the cleavers. This smoothie is best consumed immediately but can be stored in an airtight mason jar for up to 12 hours.
