  • 1 medium banana ripe or frozen for best texture
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds black or white seeds
  • 1.5 cups unsweetened almond milk or any plant-based milk
  • 0.5 cup Greek yogurt plain and unsweetened
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger peeled and grated for a spicy kick
  • 1 tbsp honey optional, adjust based on fruit sweetness

Notes

For a thicker 'smoothie bowl' consistency, reduce the almond milk to 1 cup. To make ahead, blend everything except the chia seeds and store in an airtight jar for up to 24 hours; stir in chia seeds just before serving to avoid excessive thickening. You can substitute spinach or kale for chard if needed.
