Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh Brahmi leaves tightly packed; substitute with 1 tsp Brahmi powder if fresh is unavailable
  • 1 cup baby spinach washed and dried
  • 1 cup frozen mango chunks provides natural sweetness and creaminess
  • 1 medium banana ripe, preferably frozen for a thicker texture
  • 1.5 cups coconut water unsweetened
  • 0.5 cup Greek yogurt plain; use coconut yogurt for a vegan version
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds for Omega-3 fatty acids
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger grated
  • 0.5 tsp honey optional, to balance the slightly bitter notes of Brahmi

Notes

For the best flavor, use very ripe bananas which naturally mask the herbal taste of Brahmi. If you find the smoothie too thick, add an extra splash of coconut water. This smoothie is best consumed fresh but can be stored in an airtight mason jar for up to 12 hours; shake well before drinking as separation is natural.
