Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen blackcurrants or fresh, but frozen makes it thicker
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt for creaminess and protein
  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or plant-based) or almond milk for a lighter version
  • 2 tbsp violet syrup or floral syrup of choice
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup adjust to taste
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes optional, for a colder, thicker texture
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract optional, enhances flavor
  • 1 piece fresh mint leaves for garnish, optional

Notes

Storage: Best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours; shake or stir before drinking as it may separate.
Make-Ahead: Prepare all ingredients (except ice) and store them in the blender jar in the fridge for up to 12 hours; blend when ready to serve.
Substitutions: Use coconut yogurt and oat milk for a vegan version. Replace violet syrup with elderflower syrup or a tablespoon of lavender-infused honey for a similar floral note.
Serving Suggestions: Top with a sprinkle of chia seeds or a drizzle of honey for extra texture and sweetness.
