Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (85/15) or ground chicken/turkey
  • 2 cups fresh spinach finely chopped
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce (low sodium)
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger grated
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil for brushing

Notes

Storage: Keep cooked patties in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. To reheat, place in a 350°F oven for 10 minutes or microwave until warm. Make-Ahead: Form the raw patties and freeze them on a baking sheet. Once frozen solid, transfer to a freezer bag. Bake from frozen, adding 5-10 minutes to the cook time. Substitutions: Use ground chicken or turkey for a leaner option. For gluten-free, use gluten-free panko or oat flour. Serving Suggestions: Serve over rice or quinoa, in lettuce wraps, or crumbled into a salad.
